Snotty weather doesn’t keep Pensacola anglers from catching fish.
Cobia hunters got a letdown recently after a front dropped water temp into the low 60s. The drop threw a “monkey wrench” into many crews’ sight-fish plans—but not all.
Although cold temps sent cobia into hiding, Pensacola Bay sheepshead didn’t seem too bothered according to several anglers who scanned Bay docks for the vertical stripers. They found their quarry lurking along wrecked docks inside of Fort Pickens.
“It was awesome. We just picked the fish we wanted around the pilings and cast a shrimp to it,” one angler explained back at the cleaning table.
