Outdoor Women’s Workshop Next Weekend
Register right now if you want to attend the Ocala 3-day workshop.
There’s still time--barely--to register for the February 25-27 Becoming An Outdoors Woman workshop in the Ocala National Forest. The four-hour seminars feature personal, hands-on instruction covering 22 topics, including Primitive Chef, Wilderness Survival, Personal Safety, Backpacking and Camping, Kayaking, Fly Fishing and every form of shooting from Handguns, Archery, Rifles, Black Powder and Skeet (Shotgun), along with Deer, Turkey and Small Game Hunting. Additional evening activities continue your education and entertainment as late as you can stand.
Air-conditioned cabins and meals are provided, although tent camping is popular on the scenic shores of Lake Eaton. For a full list of seminars or to register, visit www.floridaconservation.org/huntered, or contact Susan Harrass or Lynne Hawk at (561) 625-5126. If you can’t make the Ocala gathering, a new Tallahassee workshop has been scheduled for April 8-10.
