Florida Sportsman Fishing Show off to Fort Myers
The Lee County Civic Center will host over one hundred boat, tackle and art vendors from all over the country at the Fort Myers Florida Sportsman Fishing Show January 29 and 30. When taking a break from the latest in flats and offshore boats and tackle, inshore anglers can stop by the 10,000-gallon Inshore Stage to learn the latest techniques from the best local and statewide experts. Seminars will be delivered from the bow of a flats boat and cover all you need to know to separate redfish, snook, seatrout and other species from the mangroves.
Big-water fishermen can pick up bottom-fishing tips from Capt. Josh Foster and Ralph Allen, or learn to fish Gulf wrecks and shrimpboats for permit, tarpon and grouper from captains Alex Suescun, Rick Featherstone, Mac MacKenzie and John Bunch.
For those who like their seminars hands-on, stop by the Riggin’ it Right Academy booths to snell hooks for bottom fishing, make the best ballyhoo rigs or tie the most effective inshore and offshore knots.
Don’t forget to clip a $2-off coupon from the latest issue of Florida Sportsman. For a complete list of show activities, seminar schedule and discount coupons, click on www.floridasportsman.com/shows/ft_myers.
